Celebrating Creativity, Community, and Secure Foundations at Plas Ty Draw, Cardiff
At SECUREIT, we are incredibly proud to have worked with Redrow in the creation of their beautifully curated Plas Ty Draw development in Lisvane, Cardiff — a shining example of how thoughtful design, art, and culture can be seamlessly integrated into an urban residential scheme.
For over 15 years, we’ve worked closely with Redrow, delivering trusted and innovative construction site security solutions to help safeguard their developments throughout South Wales and beyond. At Plas Ty Draw, our cutting-edge CCTV and monitoring technologies protected this stunning site throughout the build process, ensuring peace of mind from groundwork to final landscaping.
From our Mains, Solar, and Hybrid Ai CCTV Smart Towers, to our rapid-deployment VASP (Video Alarm System Pod), every solution in the SECUREIT portfolio was tailored to support Redrow’s operations with minimal disruption and maximum security.
But what truly sets Plas Ty Draw apart is Redrow’s visionary incorporation of public art and poetry within the development’s green spaces — a bold and beautiful gesture that defines a true sense of place.
Working with local artist David Mackie and poet Clare E Potter from Pontypridd, Redrow has installed a series of five poetry posts carved from single pieces of Iroko hardwood. Each post features poetic lines, engraved in both English and Welsh, celebrating the rich diversity of local wildlife and reflecting the spirit of the surrounding landscape.
These unique, permanent poetic artworks speak to values we hold close at SECUREIT: community, connection, and care for our environment and future generations.
SECUREIT’s Managing Director, Philip Popham, shared:
“At SECUREIT, we believe great communities start with safety, but are brought to life through culture and creativity. Redrow’s use of poetry to connect residents with their natural surroundings is both thoughtful and inspiring. It’s a privilege to support developments like Plas Ty Draw, where design, heritage and security come together to create lasting places people are proud to call home.”
We’re delighted to have played a small but significant part in protecting this outstanding development and look forward to seeing the community at Plas Ty Draw flourish for years to come.
