From Building Sites to Classrooms: Reflecting on SECUREIT’s Journey
When I founded SECUREIT nearly two decades ago, it all started with a handful of loyal customers—mostly house builders operating around our home base in Bridgend. Back then, we were a small, family-run operation with big ideas and a clear mission: to provide reliable, high-quality fire prevention and CCTV security solutions that people could trust.
Fast-forward to today, and I’m both humbled and proud to see just how far we’ve come. We now look after clients from Chester to Torquay, London to Carmarthen, and everywhere in between. Our customer base has grown beyond builders and construction to include local shops, national retailers, hotels, offices, warehouses, and more recently—something I’m especially proud of—schools and education providers.
The journey hasn’t just been about growing our footprint; it’s been about growing our relationships. One of the things I’ve always valued most is staying in close contact with our customers. I make it a priority to speak to clients regularly—not just when something goes wrong or a contract is due for renewal, but because I genuinely want to understand how their needs are evolving, and how we can continue to improve our service.
Security is a personal business. When someone invites SECUREIT to protect their property, people, or assets, they’re placing a huge amount of trust in us. That trust is something we never take for granted, and it’s why we continue to build our business one honest conversation at a time.
Expanding into the education sector in 2024 has been one of the most rewarding steps in our journey so far. Knowing that our systems are helping to protect school buildings, pupils, teachers, and visitors is something that gives me—and the whole team—an enormous sense of pride. These environments are about nurturing futures, and it’s an honour to play a small part in keeping them safe.
Looking ahead, we’ll continue to grow with the same values we started with: family, integrity, reliability, and innovation. I want to thank all of our customers—past, present, and future—for believing in SECUREIT. You’ve helped us become the company we are today.
